BALANCING THE SCALES OF JUSTICE Innocent Until Proven Guilty? In Juror 11, you will journey into a courtroom, taking your place in one of 12 leather chairs in the jury panel box. After hearing all the evidence submitted, you will have the opportunity to determine the guilt or innocence of a man on trial for murder. You’ll fill out a verdict form, found on the website www.juror11.com, and assign guilt or innocence to the defendant on each of six felony charges. After you have communicated your verdict, your suspense-filled journey will continue into the deliberation room, where the actual trial discussions will be revealed. You’ll see some jurors attempt to balance truth and impartiality, but others will reveal shocking reasons why they want to tip the scales of justice, even if that means shying away from the evidence. JUROR 11 WILL LEAVE YOU ASKING WHO JUDGES THE JURY?

Religious propaganda. That's right. What could have been a great book was destroyed by the Christian overtones. I thought this would be a good, solid true crime novel. Guess I should have checked into the author first. I hate to think of any part of my purchase going towards the promotion of hate, intolerance and ignorance that is today's religious scene.Product details

Juror 11 A Story of Murder A Story of Judgment Terry Allen Rathmann 9780986117107 Books Reviews
This book is an absolute page turner. It's a quick easy read. I can't believe this is a first book for this author.
Juror 11 by Terry Rathmann goes way beyond the typical murder mystery or murder trial book. Juror 11 confronts you and forces you to ask yourself what personal, spiritual and ethical beliefs and biases you have that might impact your decision-making or impartiality when you face that critical moment. We are all products of a lifetime of experiences and environments. Juror 11 forces us to go face-to-face and toe-to-toe with that which makes us each the individuals we are. A good murder mystery may actually make you feel afraid to go outside and face the risks and realities of the real world. Juror 11 may just make looking yourself in the mirror seem risky.
Juror 11 is a well-written book by the jury foreman of a murder trial. Rathmann takes you inside the court room and jury deliberation room with him. He explains how a murder trial and the court system work. Even nuances such as when the jury is allowed to get a meal in the Justice Center’s cafeteria are discussed. He expertly develops each real-life character in this true story – what are their backgrounds, motivations, fears and concerns?
In the end, we already know who the shooter is. There’s no doubt about that. What we learn though is whether we can truly trust others to undertake their civic responsibilities, or can we even trust ourselves? Well done, Terry. I look forward to your next book.
Very interesting page turner
Good read. The aspects of what constitutes reasonable doubt was interesting when put in the legal terms. Also hope we don't have many potential jurors omit info just to be involved in a trial.
